The Winter Spine Race is the ultimate ultramarathon located within the UK.

Stretching from Edale in the Peak District to Kirk Yetholm in the Scottish Borders, the Spine Race comprises 268 gruelling miles across exposed moorland and remote fell tops following the Pennine Way hiking route.
To complete the winter version of this challenge in under the permitted 168 hours (7 days), competitors will have to navigate their way Northwards in freezing conditions and often in darkness; battling the elements, the landscape and their own will to continue in equal measure.
This is truly as demanding as it gets.
