The Pyrenean Rally

The Pyrenean Rally is an extreme 1,800 km bikepacking race across the Pyrenees mountains. Starting and finishing in Llançà, Spain, the route tackles 46,000 meters of climbing, with long sections of gravel tracks on the outward leg to the Atlantic, and paved mountain passes on the return through France.

The event is renowned for two key rules: allowing participants to swap to road tires at the halfway checkpoint and enforcing a mandatory six-hour rest period per day to prevent sleep deprivation.
